CLARITY. EFFICIENCY. QUALITY.

Dawn Sonntag CEO and Founder

Dawn Sonntag | fOUNDER AND ceo

I’m an entrepreneur at heart with a deep commitment to service and inclusion. My career began in the nonprofit sector, where I supported fundraising initiatives, large-scale events, and mission-driven organizations. Those early experiences shaped my passion for creating meaningful, inclusive spaces where people feel connected, supported, and valued.

Today, that passion is centered on advancing equitable access. As the owner of Caption Consulting, I lead a team dedicated to making communication accessible for all. We provide a full range of services, including ASL interpreting, live captioning (CART and TypeWell) with multilingual support, post-production captioning, audio description, and text-to-speech solutions. Our team is made up of highly skilled captioners, interpreters, and accessibility professionals who are committed to excellence.

I am also TypeWell qualified and have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of students across colleges and universities in the U.S., U.K., and Canada. I hold a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and consistency in every service we deliver. Above all, I believe accessibility should be the standard, not an afterthought.

Earlier in my career, I served as Director of Medical Transcription at South Coast College and taught healthcare technology, informatics, and medical transcription as an adjunct faculty member at Harper College.

Outside of my professional work, I’m a mother of two and a wellness enthusiast who values balance, connection, and giving back. Whether in business or in life, I am driven by a desire to help people feel included, supported, and empowered.
